Embrace the Holiday Cheer at Michiana's Festive Events | Cressy & Everett

Getting into the holiday spirit can be hard after moving to a new place, especially if you don't know the area well yet. But if you're in the Michigan and Indiana areas, our real estate agents can help. We know all the major community events and holiday gatherings in Michiana and can help you meet people, get to know the area, and spread holiday cheer. Here are some of our favorite festive events in the Michiana area.

  • 2024 Holiday Michiana Pottery Tour - 216 S. Main St, Goshen, IN 46526
If you're looking for handcrafted ceramics to buy for your friends—or yourself—you can kick off the holiday season at the 2024 Holiday Michiana Pottery Tour. Held Friday, December 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., it features many local ceramic artists coming together to showcase their craft and sell their wares. Held near Goshen homes for sale, it takes place in the historic Goshen Theater Ballroom. Come shop for everything from gifts to decorations to home furnishings while supporting local artists and mingling with others in your community.

  • Home for the Holidays - 211 N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601
Nothing gets you into the spirit like holiday music. If you want to hear beautiful, classic Christmas carols, head to the Morris Performing Arts Center for the South Bend Symphony Orchestra's Home for the Holidays concert. Under the direction of Alastair Willis, they'll play all your holiday favorites, featuring performances by UZIMA! Drum and Dance and soprano soloist Anne Slovin. Taking place Saturday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. near South Bend homes for sale, it's a perfect holiday event for the whole family.

  • Light Up the Bluff - 520 Lake Blvd, St. Joseph, MI 49085
If you live near St. Joseph homes for sale, Lake Bluff Park is one of the best places for stunning views of Lake Michigan. And during the holiday season, it gets even better! Light Up the Bluff is a light display like no other. A million Christmas lights of all different colors transform the park into a Winter Wonderland, complete with archways illuminated with stars, holiday scenes sculpted from light strings, and, of course, a giant Christmas tree. Taking place December 6-14 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, admission is free, and the event features Christmas carols by the St. Joseph High School Choir at 6 p.m., followed by the tree lighting at 6:30. Or if you can't make it, the display will stay up until Valentine's Day.

  • Holiday Artisan Fair - 216 Court St., St. Joseph, MI 49085
Another great place to support local artists while shopping for holiday gifts and decor this season is the Holiday Artisan Fair. Held Sunday, December 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., there are indoor booths at Union + Social and outdoor booths at Court Place Plaza, all featuring local artists, showcasing handcrafted goods of all sorts, from fabrics to soaps to jams and syrups and much more.

  • Santa's House - 301 State St., St. Joseph, MI 49085
If you have kids, it's not Christmas unless they see Santa. And in St. Joseph, you can visit his house! Open weekends starting December 7 and daily from December 19-23, Santa's House is a great place to meet Santa, explore the "North Pole," and get plenty of photos you'll cherish for years to come.

This is just a taste of what the Michiana area has to offer during the holiday season and year-round. Contact us if you're ready to find your new home. We'll help you find a house you'll love in a neighborhood with everything you need.
